Once we got to the Morritts on Friday morning with the decorum of
the staff we all felt okay as they were courteous, accommodating,
pleasant and honest about what they knew when they knew. Meeting
Miss Cleo instantly calmed my son’s nerves (he suffers from anxiety)
as she smoothly went into the history of the resort, the making of
the island and made him feel he was in a museum instead of the
direct eye of a hurricane. I think he truly wants to come back just
to talk with her.
I
especially would like to give great amounts of Kudos to Patrice in
the Premiere Pool bar as she too calmed my son by talking, getting
him to laugh and kept serving the best food as if she did not have
to worry about her home on the island or the fact that she had
family in Jamaica. Unless you were 46 years old like me and knew
deep down she had to be horrified, she never let it show. Another
group of wonderful people were your front desk people. They made
numerous phone calls for us trying to book a charter jet or find our
corporate jet and never once complained or look dismayed in spite of
the …….yes I’ll just say it up front ASSHOLES that cared for no one
else but their own hides and were downright rude and abusive to the
staff and let me not forget the wonderful owners who in the 2:30
meeting actually asked “what about the resort property? What will
happen if the hurricane hits?” when all the resort staff was lined
up against the wall dedicating their lives and time to us instead of
being home securing their families and property. I would like to
apologize for them on their behalf because if they got to safety I’m
sure those types still won’t be writing an e-mail like this to say
thank you.
I
felt guilty leaving the other guests I met just while in the lobby
and leaving the new friends I had made at the resort in the staff
but I knew leave is what they wanted us to do, to have less people
for them to worry about. I look forward to going back and as of
writing this it seems that the hurricane will hopefully not do a lot
of damage to any of the Caymans at least I’m praying it doesn’t
because I look forward to the next 99 years of being with the new
family I have in the Caymans.
Please
let the staff know that they did a wonderful job.
